Trump Wants A Solution for DACA
Today, President Trump tweeted, "Democrats are doing nothing for DACA - just interested in politics. DACA activists and Hispanics will go hard against Dems, will start 'falling in love' with Republicans and their President! We are about RESULTS."

When they held the presidency and majority power in Congress, Democrats failed to pass any type of legislation that would allow the DREAMers to earn permanent legal status. Because Obama created DACA through an act of executive overreach that would have likely been found unconstitutional by the Supreme Court, President Trump rescinded it, but he gave Congress six months to legislate a real solution.
Congress now has 6 months to legalize DACA (something the Obama Administration was unable to do). If they can't, I will revisit this issue!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) September 6, 2017
It sounds like the president is willing to put politics aside in order to produce a sensible solution that will benefit Americans and the DREAMers who want to follow every law. If President Trump and Republican legislators can lead the way in creating a fix for DACA like they did on the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, It's likely that Americans will reward them with more votes, more seats, and more power in Congress.
President Trump has asked Congress to pass legislation that will allow DREAMers to continue earning legal status before they start losing their protection from deportation on March 5th.
