Pete Sessions on Service Academy Nominations

The nomination process for U.S. Service Academy selection begins in the spring semester of a student’s junior year. In order to begin the process with my office, please send a letter to my District Office expressing your desire to attend one of the five military academies and include the following information:

  • Your name and contact information (phone – home and cell, e-mail and home address) 
  • Your anticipated graduation date 
  • Your parents names 
  • The Service Academy you are interested in attending

To select the nominees, I have an Academy Selection Board chaired by Chad Hennings, which reviews all applications to determine which candidates will be interviewed. Interviews are held in November and nominations are made no later than December 31st each year.
