Ronald Reagan on Socialized Medicine

Obama and the Democrats liberty-restricting healthcare bill is not the Democrats first run at a socialistic regimented healthcare. During the late 1950s and early 1960s, there was an attempt to extend socialism towards healthcare.

In a 1961 audio recording, President Ronald Reagan warned citizens that government-subsidized medicine would diminish Americans freedom, forcing citizens to let the government control their every move.

This is classic Reagan, and conservatism at its finest. Remember too that in 1961, Reagan was merely a concerned, politically active private citizen...just like many of those who are listening to this recording now. Always inspiring, even 48 years after the fact.
