Congressman Lamar Smith Opposition to Military Strike on Syria

Issues:

If the House were to vote today on launching military strikes against Syria, I and a majority of Members would vote no.

Over the last two weeks, I have spoken with hundreds of constituents who are overwhelmingly opposed to a military attack on Syria. I have received over 2,000 emails, letters, and phone calls from constituents and 95% oppose attacking Syria. Read more about Congressman Lamar Smith Opposition to Military Strike on Syria

(VIDEO) Lawrence O'Donnell Asks Anthony Weiner What We're All Wondering: "What is Wrong With You?"

Issues:

While we don't usually like to promote the liberal propagandists over at MSNBC, this interview by Lawrence O'Donnell hits the nail on the head.

On the eve of the New York City's Mayoral race, O'Donnell asks the one question on everyone's mind to disgraced Congressman and NYC Mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner: "What is wrong with you?" Obama's Economy

Issues:

The recent job report simply shows what has been obvious, Obamanomics is still failing! The media reports that unemployment has dropped to 7.3 from 7.4, and of course the perfunctory declaration of hundreds of thousands of new jobs created. This month it was reported that full time jobs outnumbered part time jobs. However, this recent job report was recognized for what it was, a demonstration of a soft economy that has existed since

NDO Passes - San Antonio "Transformed"

Issues:

Thursday, September 5, 2013 San Antonio City Council passed the non discrimination ordinance that violates our First Amendment Rights, our Right of Conscience. In spite of the fact that the majority of concerned citizens opposed the NDO, it passed with an 8-3 vote. Only three members of the City Council voted against the unjust ordinance, Ivy Taylor D2, Elisa Chan D9 and Carlton Soules D10. These three council members were brave enough to stand for their principles and the First Amendment, the Right of Conscience and will surely pay the price. What To Do Now on Syria

Issues:

Syria is where Obama's foreign policy follies are laid bare and found in disarray. That can no longer be debatable, but what is debatable is what to do about this disaster. Republican Congressman Tom Cotton. and hopefully the next Senator from Arkansas, along with Kansas Representative Mike Pompeo, made a case for striking at Syria. I will add a better case than Secretary of State John Kerry and his boss, President Obama.

Cotton and Pompeo begin with how this would embolden Iran when

Congressman Blake Farenthold on U.S. Military Intervention in Syria

Issues:

After attending Friday’s classified briefing and listening to the people I represent, I have decided to vote against U.S. military intervention in Syria’s civil war. Our involvement could further destabilize an unstable region, and there is no clear mission or desired outcome that has been articulated to Congress or the American people. If we were to get involved, it should be as part of a large coalition of our allies and with the support of the U.N.

U.S. Fighting Mexican Cartels With Privatized Manned Aerial Surveillance

Issues:

It has long been known that U.S. authorities use unmanned aerial drones to patrol the nearly 2,000-mile U.S./Mexico border. However, a recent report by FOX News’ William La Jeunesse reveals the U.S. is engaging in aerial surveillance over Mexican soil—manned surveillance flights.

Such efforts are not new on the part of U.S. authorities. Manned surveillance flights have long been a part of U.S. efforts to break the backs of Colombian drug cartels. The Colombian mission has seen its share of catastrophe,

Issues:

Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott today addressed the Texas Human Trafficking Prevention Task Force and issued the following statement about a new resource developed by the Attorney General’s Office and the task force to help criminal justice professionals dismantle human trafficking operations: “As our experience has demonstrated, human trafficking can only be stopped through the coordinated efforts
