Fort Hood Shooting Victims, Families Deserve Full Compensation, Benefits

Issues:

As the trial of Maj. Nidal Hasan draws the eyes of the nation, let us direct that attention to those who deserve it: the victims and their families.

The strength and resilience of the Fort Hood community is legendary. No U.S. military installation has deployed more troops into overseas theaters of combat since Sept. 11, 2001, than Fort Hood, and none have endured more combat casualties in both Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Bono Rock and Roll Capitalism!

Issues:

Bono is a rock star, but he is also an anti-poverty activist. For years, he was a major proponent of foreign aid, debt cancellation, and worked to alleviate the dire plight of those suffering from HIV/AIDS, malaria and abject poverty. And he is a wealthy rock star, but unlike other rock stars, he truly understands the economic system that allows him his wealth and to pursue his charity endeavors is good. Elysium the Movie

Issues:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QILNSgou5BY

How many of you enjoy going to the movies? I go to be entertained to watch something that is basically not connected to my reality so I can escape for a short period and then forget the movie when I walk out the door.

What we need for victory in 2014 and beyond

Since 2012 there has been soul searching among Republicans about what went wrong and how we can win back the Senate and the White House as well as win local elections. What has been lacking is a serious discussion about what it means to be a conservative and thus what the Republican Party ought to stand for. No political strategy will be successful if we don't have a solidified sense of self. If Republicans are to expand our sphere of influence, we must first decide what it is they mean by conservatism. It is not enough to talk about protecting the border, cutting taxes, and defunding Obamacare.

What Consensus?

How many times you have heard that climate science is settled and humanity is responsible for our disastrous climate change that will fry or maybe freeze all of mankind? What if you were told that maybe that there is no consensus?

When geoscientists and engineers were surveyed, only 36% of them believed in humans causing climate change. That is hardly a consensus. The real truth is that the science supporting catastrophic anthropogenic global change has been collapsing with every passing

San Antonio’s Non-Discrimination Ordinance Discriminates Against People Of Faith

Issues:

St. Anthony of Padua on the Riverwalk
Patron Saint of San Antonio

Anti-Christian events in San Antonio are not new. The very perverted Corpus Christi Play at the San Antonio Playhouse opened in 2011 depicting Christ as a homosexual. Very few San Antonio residents voiced their opposition to the play to the city council. Deacon Pat Rogers from the SA Archdiocese did tell me that he and other faith leaders had indeed stood before the city council in opposition and their message fell on deaf ears. Obamacare and the Rule of Law

With each passing day, it becomes more and more obvious that President Obama’s health-care law is simply unworkable. Yet rather than accept reality and support full congressional repeal of the law, the administration is instead violating Obamacare and applying it selectively.

Last month, for example, President Obama unilaterally delayed the requirement that large employers provide health insurance to their workers, and he also delayed various oversight provisions.

Earlier this week, the Texas Department of Criminal Justice’s Parole Division issued an arrest warrant against Davis for violating

Black Rep. James White Criticizes Holder and GOP Rep. Sensenbrenner for implying that Texas Restricts Minority Voting Rights

Issues:

State Representative James White has sent a letter to Republican Congressman James (Jim) Sensenbrenner blasting Sensenbrenner and Eric Holder, and demanding that they stop messing with the 10th Amendment rights of Texas.

Rep. James White, a Texas Tea Party Conservative, knows quite a bit about the voting rights of minorities in Texas because, well, he is a minority in Texas.

Specifically, Rep. White chastized Republican Rep. Sensenbrenner for saying it is okay to put Texas under the unfair preclearance microscope of the Voting Rights Act, while at the same time,
