Health Care Pledge for U.S. Senators

Powerline has posted a pledge that Virginia's two Senators have been asked to sign.  The pledge needs to be placed in front the remaining 98:

My Pledge to My Constituents on National Health Insurance
1. I will not vote to expand the bankrupt Medicare program unless and until it is first placed on a sound actuarial basis.
2. I will not vote for any national health insurance legislation that includes a public plan unless I am prepared to enroll myself and my family in the public plan. If a national health insurance bill with a public plan passes the Senate with my vote in support, then I pledge to enroll myself and my family in that public plan.

Senators Hutchinson and Cornyn, how about it?  I am pretty sure neither of them would have a problem doing so.  It's so good to be in Texas. Read more about Health Care Pledge for U.S. Senators

We Have Been Cheated by the Stimulus

Obama Care is Not the Solution

The Chairman of the Harris County (TX) Republican Party, Jared Woodfill, offers his perspective on Obama's healthcare bill:

The Obama administration is working diligently to nationalize our healthcare system. It is attempting to take us back to 1993 when the Democrats unsuccessfully pushed for the nationalization of our healthcare system- "Hillary care." In the most recent Democrat sponsored bills, the federal government would, among other things, give money to states to set up government run insurance exchanges that would compete with private healthcare plans. It would further provide subsidies to families making up to 500% of the poverty level or $110,000.
