Biden Electricity Official Doesn't Know How Much Electricity the U.S. Needs

A top priority for the Energy and Commerce Committee this Congress is ensuring American families have access to reliable, affordable, and efficient energy sources and home appliances. An unreliable grid has consequences across our lives and the entire economy.

In an Energy and Commerce hearing last week, I questioned Gene Rodrigues, Biden's Assistant Secretary of the Office of Electricity, about how much electricity the United States uses annually.

The electricity official for the President could not answer how much electricity our country needs or even how much he pays for electricity each month. I assured him that every person in Texas-11 knows that their electricity bills have doubled under this administration.
