San Antonio Finalist for Space Command HQ

I recently announced that the City of San Antonio has been selected as a finalist to host the U.S. Space Command Headquarters:

Military City, USA is as patriotic a city as they come, with robust defense, education, training, research, and cybersecurity infrastructure at the ready. Texans have already demonstrated outsized success in the military and have led the way in space exploration.  San Antonio would be a natural fit for the U.S. Space Command to take advantage of the vast resources and skilled workforce we have in the Lone Star State.

In August, I sent a letter to Asst. Sec. Henderson expressing my full support for hosting the Space Command HQ in Texas.  San Antonio is one of six finalists, whittled down from a list of more than 50 competing U.S. cities.  The U.S. Air Force will now work with the City of San Antonio to further evaluate the location and expects to make a final decision in January.
