Last week, the economic crisis in Greece continued to unfold when the country failed to make a scheduled debt repayment to the International Monetary Fund (IMF). And just yesterday, in a referendum, the Greeks voted against the terms of a previous bailout from its international creditors that would have brought more stability and economic reforms to the country. Shark finning is currently banned or regulated in an increasing number of countries and it is time the United States became a leader in the effort to eradicate shark finning permanently. Recently, the United Arab Emirates introduced regulations on abusive fishing practices that are threatening the survival of some shark species. Read more about The Jaws Act
