Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced the issuance of a $1.2 million grant to the City of North Richland Hills to establish an anti-gang center. Last week, I introduced legislation that would extend the Health Coverage Tax Credit (HCTC) for the Delphi Salaried Retirees.

With the expiration of the HCTC on January 1, 2014, tens of thousands of families across the country have struggled to pay their health bills. The legislation would restore the HCTC for five years and provide these retirees with the certainty and stability they need. Texas DPS Looking for a Few Good Troopers

Issues: 

The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) is looking for a few good police officers to join the ranks of Texas Highway Patrol troopers. The DPS announced a new program under which currently certified peace officers can apply to be enrolled in a special accelerated course.
