Texas DPS Looking for a Few Good Troopers

Issues: 

The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) is looking for a few good police officers to join the ranks of Texas Highway Patrol troopers. The DPS announced a new program under which currently certified peace officers can apply to be enrolled in a special accelerated course. Each spring, the Congressional Institute sponsors a nationwide high school visual art competition to recognize and encourage artistic talent in the nation and in each congressional district. Bill Introduced to Make Texas More Appealing to Tesla

Currently, Texas law only allows consumers to purchase new vehicles from someone holding a “franchised dealer’s license.” The bill would allow Tesla to operate twelve dealerships in Texas but would protect franchise dealers by restricting the direct sales to manufacturer’s lines that have never been sold in the state through a franchised dealer. Previtera Loses HD123 - Menendez Wins Big SD26

Issues: 
Nunzio Previtera campaigning for House District 123 was the Republican hero for the night after losing to Diego Bernal. Bernal, the NDO originator, winning with 63.67% of the vote, went into the HD race with plenty of name recognition. Previtera on the other hand, had plenty of backing from his fellow Republicans, including Governor Greg Abbott, with little or no name recognition.
