Israel QME Enhancement Act

Issues:

All around Israel things are in tremendous turmoil.

To Israel's south, Egypt is experiencing its worst period of unrest in 50 years. There is no elected government, and there won't be until next year. The economy is on a ventilator in Egypt. It is propped up only by billions of dollars of aid from Gulf countries.

The Muslim Brotherhood is openly fighting the interim government with armed mobs. Terrorists and vagabonds in the always lawless Sinai Peninsula are only encouraged by the weakened state of Cairo. Read more about Israel QME Enhancement Act

Photographers Left Sightless by Obama

Issues:

Being a photographer for most of my life, I well understand the outrage the photojournalists feel toward the Obama Administration. Photojournalists have been ‘locked out’ from going to the White House and official events to photograph the president during functions. It seems the photojournalists are at last feeling the ‘power’ pinch which is not in their favor. They should have known this was coming with Obama promising transparency and delivering none. Congressman Smith Statement on Budget Vote

I issued the below statement following today’s House vote on the Bipartisan Budget Act (H.J. Res. 59). The budget passed by a vote of 332-94.

I supported the congressional budget agreement for a number of reasons. First, it reduces the deficit by $23 billion more over the next 10 years than current law. (Current law is the Budget Control Act known as sequestration.) The budget provides $33 billion more for defense over the next two years, which will help San Antonio’s military installations and the thousands of men and women who serve our country. Obama’s Harvard education debunked by a wood chopper

Issues:

You want to know why government has no ingenuity? Because ingenuity requires actual WORK…such as demonstrated by one wood chopper!

Check out how this guy solves his problem. One thing is for sure; you can bet his knowledge came from a long history of trial and error.

The real world requires solutions that work, and not theoretical solutions based on communist ideals. Read more about Obama’s Harvard education debunked by a wood chopper

How Could Debra Medina Support Joe Straus? - Texas Comptroller Race Update

Issues:

The Texas 2014 Republican Primary Election has more hotly contested races than I have ever seen. From the race for Lieutenant Governor to the race for Attorney General all the way down to County Judge Races. One big race seems to always go overlooked though. The Texas Comptroller Republican Primary Race never gets much publicity, but it is a very important statewide office. Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott Sets Goal to Make Texas #1 in Education - Exclusive Video Interview

Issues:

Greg Abbott at HRBC meetingWhen our leaders set lofty goals it creates a pathway to achievement. Over fifty-two years ago, President Kennedy set a goal for our nation of sending a man to the moon and returning him home safely by the end of that decade. People united behind that goal, including a large community of Texans at the NASA Manned Space Flight Center in Houston. By the goal deadline (the end of that decade) four American men had walked on the moon and returned safely home.

Last week in Houston, Texas Gubernatorial Candidate Greg Abbott set another "audacious" goal for Texans to achieve.
