Is the Texas HB2 Bill (formerly SB5) about stopping the availability, access, or choice of women to have a pregnancy termination, or is it about the safety for women and their health when terminating the pregnancy?

It has become such an emotional topic these past few weeks in Texas, on what our legislature stands for and what our rights as women are in the matter. However, in looking at the bill itself, it doesn’t mention any type withholding of consent or stating that pregnancies can be terminated at a certain stage of gestation.

Governor Rick Perry:

"The Texas Legislature is poised to finish its history-making work this year by passing legislation to protect the unborn and women's health, invest in our transportation infrastructure and ensure our justice system is fair but firm. This work will build on the historic steps we took during the 83rd Legislative session, addressing our needs for water, cutting the tax burden on Texans and establishing a new university in South Texas. As we open the second special session, we must remember the people of Texas hired us to do our job, and that's what we must do."

Hollywood has been tripping all over itself to support and further the policies of Barack Obama.

Scott Rasmussen reported that 51% of voters view radical Muslim as our biggest threat, but only 13% of voters view the Tea Party as the biggest threat to United States. However, only 29% of Obama supporters view radical Muslims as a threat, while 22% of them view Tea Party as the largest threat. Texas Speaker of the House Joe Straus has attacked Pro-Life Governor Rick Perry and defended pro-abortion State Senator Wendy Davis.

After the filibuster from Wendy Davis and the unruly mob that shut down the Texas State Senate, you would think that any pro-life leader in Texas would criticize either Davis or the mob. Not Joe Straus. Joe Straus criticized Governor Perry simply because Governor Perry gave a compliment to Wendy Davis and then tied the compliment into a very reasonable, fair point about Wendy Davis. There was nothing out of line said, and certainly nothing that would warrant the Speaker having a public opinion about it and attacking Governor Perry. 

The Houston Young Republicans (HYR) have produced an ad criticizing what it calls “the Mob,” referring to the leftwing extremists who prevented a vote from taking place on pivotal legislation which would cap abortions in Texas at 20 weeks, and require hygienic improvements at facilities that administer abortions.
