Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton stood before Judge George Gallagher in a state district court in Collin County and the AG pleaded not guilty to the criminal charges leveled against him. I met with the Nueces County Medical Society last week. We are in dire need of funding to expand residency programs in South Texas. More than a dozen doctors in Corpus Christi discussed the issues they face delivering healthcare in South Texas. Shockingly, Texas is 48th in the nation in physicians per capita. The Environmental Protection Agency failed to provide documents and communication the Committee requested by August 24th concerning the agency’s involvement in the Gold King Mine spill. It is disappointing, but not surprising, that the EPA failed to meet the House Science Committee’s reasonable deadline in turning over documents pertaining to the Gold King Mine spill.
