Carlton Soules Is The Man For Bexar County Judge

Issues:

Carlton Soules a native San Antonian has been a city councilman since 2011 representing the conservative constituents of District 10. He has been a strong voice for the conservatives of San Antonio and wants to continue to work for the people of Bexar County as the County Judge. His main thrust has been looking after the taxpayer and his money. Read more about Carlton Soules Is The Man For Bexar County Judge

City of Houston - Intimidation Tactics Against Churches

Issues:

The Mayor of Houston has backed down on the subpoenas that she issued to five pastors for "all speeches, presentations, or sermons" on a variety of topics, including the mayor, and "gender identity."

Despite backing off of the issued subpoenas, the Houston Mayor and City Attorney still fail to admit

Congressman Smith Supports Travel Ban to Stop Spread of Ebola

Today I joined fellow Texas Republicans in sending a letter to President Obama asking that he put a travel ban in place for those traveling from West African countries most affected by the Ebola outbreak.

In part, the letter reads:

Second guessing will not protect Texans and other Americans who are worried about the spread of Ebola in the United States. Section 212(f) of the Immigration and Nationality Act gives you the authority to deny entry into the United States of any class of aliens whose entry

GOP Judicial Candidates ‘Come Out Of The Closet’

Issues:

Justitia, Lady Justice, has been ‘blinded’ since the 15th century. The blindfold signifies objectivity, that justice should be measured accurately without fear or favor, regardless of race, gender, religion, personal wealth or power. Judges play an enormous role in our society. People tend to forget that lives going into a courtroom can change drastically by the outcome of the decision of the judge and jury. President Inequality

Barack Obama is President Inequality. The stats are clear, and while President Obama talks about inequality, what is overlooked is his policies have made inequality even worse.

The reality is the average family and middle class incomes have not even reached the pre-recession numbers of 2007. We have been told that this recovery began in 2009 but yet, income is nearly 4% lower than the median income when the recession supposedly ended and nearly 8% lower than 2007.

As a Wall Street Journal article observed, while incomes modestly increased in 2013, they still lagged far behind where they should be five years into a recovery.

Batty In Houston

Issues:

It's pretty remarkable that one of the most wacky, tyrannical definitionally un-American governing actions I've seen in this country, comes not from San Francisco or Burlington, Vermont, or not even from New York, L.A. or Chicago, but from Houston, TX. Houston recently imposed an act that allows choice in use of Men or Women's public bathrooms, irrespective of one's actual sex. And now, the Mayor and city attorney have issued subpoenas to five Houston pastors to turn over all sermons relating to homosexuality or Mayor Annise Parker.

Guest Worker Visas and the Components to Make Them Politically, Economically, and Legally Successful

Expanding and liberalizing America’s lawful immigration system is the easiest way to boost economic growth and is also the key to stopping unlawful immigration. After a century of reforms that enhanced and centralized bureaucracy, federal immigration policy is a labyrinth of restriction and dysfunction. US immigration laws are now, as Rutgers law professor Elizabeth Hull wrote, “second only to the Internal Revenue Code in complexity.” Read more about Guest Worker Visas and the Components to Make Them Politically, Economically, and Legally Successful

Best-Selling Author Alvin Townley is Keynote Speaker for Annual Veteran Commendation Ceremony

In anticipation of the annual Congressional Veterans Commendation ceremony on Saturday, November 1, I encourage 3rd District constituents to show their gratitude to all our veterans by attending this special event. The program will include a reception with veteran honorees and a book-signing with best-selling author Alvin Townley.

North Texas is home to many veterans, and it’s important that we take time out of our busy schedules to thank these brave men and women for their service and sacrifice to our Great Nation. Our veteran honorees faithfully served their country, and they continue to serve as civilian leaders. They truly are our hometown heroes, and I look forward to paying them tribute on November 1 with our community. Congressman Randy Neugebauer: Home this Week in Texas

It’s a busy week ahead catching up with folks in West Texas and the Big Country. Here’s a little preview of where I’ll be and what I’ll be doing:

I appreciate that West Texas has such rich culture and diversity. I’m excited to stop by the Business Mercado in Lubbock to honor Hispanic heritage and support local Hispanic-run businesses and culture. This week is also the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce’s Hispanic Heritage Luncheon and Texas Tech’s Celebrate Diversity Awards Banquet. In Texas, we’re lucky to have such rich culture to celebrate. Congressman Farenthold Discusses His Time on the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee

Our district is home to five ports and a portion of the Gulf Coast Waterway. It has been estimated that Texas waterways will transport over 766 million tons of cargo by 2030. This is why I am glad the President signed into law H.R.3080, the Water Resources Reform and Development Act (WRRDA). I co-sponsored and provided language in this legislation that expands an Army Corps assessment of the operation and maintenance needs of the entire Gulf Intracostal Waterway System.
