Homeland Security Headquarters Completion Revised to 2026

Issues:

The following article was authored by Jim Kollaer and originally posted on ConstructionCitizen.com.

The future of the next phase of construction for the proposed headquarters of the Department of Homeland Security in Washington, DC has once again become a political football, according to a recent article in the Washington Post.  The project originally proposed after the 9/11 terrorist attacks was intended to consolidate the departments that are now housed

Texas Congressmen React to VA Secretary Resignation

HOUSTON, Texas—President Barack Obama accepted the resignation of Veterans Affairs Secretary Eric Shinseki on Friday and named Deputy Secretary Sloan D. Gibson as acting Secretary. The rare display of accountability leaves veterans and citizens across America wondering what is next for our wounded and otherwise injured veterans who are caught up in the bureaucratic delays and possible criminal behavior of some VA administrators. Science Doesn't Disprove God

Issues:

Amir Aczel's new book Why Science Does Not Disprove God is a great read and makes the case that Science doesn’t refute God's existence. I will add that it doesn’t prove God’s existence either. Aczel is a trained mathematician and has taught courses of mathematics and Science. His goal in this book is to challenge what he calls the New Atheists, demonstrating what Science really says and shows how there is room for the Divine in creation and presently in the universe. Faith in God is not incompatible with Science. Read more about Science Doesn't Disprove God

Who Is Responsible For The Immigration Wedge In The Republican Party?

The following is research conducted by Texans For Sensible Immigration Reform:

Introduction:

When you need advice you talk to someone you trust because you know that person's view of the world is one you share. You know that person does not have a hidden agenda that may be contrary to your own. If that person stands in opposition to you in those respects, would it change your mind about following their advice? It probably should.

The GOP is in the same position on immigration.

Jerry Patterson Answers FAQs on Immigration, The Texas Solution, & RPT Platform

Issues:

Isn't the Texas Solution in the 2012 RPT platform actually amnesty?

Actually not. Going back to the 2010 RPT platform would be closer to amnesty than the 2012 platform. Why? Because the 2010 platform did not address what to do with the 12,000,000 illegals already here. Therefore, the 2010 platform maintained the status quo of doing nothing which most would agree is de facto amnesty.

Story Of Scientific MisConduct

With the recent news of a leading scientist being gagged from reporting his finding and the recent attempt by many in the climatologists' circle to destroy the reputation of those who disagree with their finds, Andrew Montford’s The Hockey Stick Illusion is worth reading, simply to understand the mindset of the climate alarmists and how far they are willing to go. This book reads like a mystery as opposed to science as Montford exposes how a major study, declared as the silver bullet for proof of man-made climate change, proved to be wrong and how much of the scientific establishment went out of its way to defend what they should have condemned. An immigration showdown in Cowtown

Issues:

Sen. Patrick hedges his bets while the rejection of gay Republicans raises questions about exclusion of immigration hardliners.

The Republican Party of Texas’ faithful will gather in Fort Worth this week following one of the uglier primary seasons that many veteran political observers have witnessed. Their leadership will look not only to show

Explosive Revelations of Corruption in Your Department of Justice

Meet Sidney Powell, a highly sought after appellate attorney whose career includes 10 years serving as an Assistant United States Attorney performing civil and criminal trial work, and heading up an appellate section for the two different federal court districts. She is described as probably “the leading 5th Circuit practitioner in Texas” by fellow attorneys, and “a brilliant lawyer … fearless advocate” by clients. Her list of clients is a who’s who of prominent businesses, and she writes beautifully.

Her new book Licensed to Lie: Exposing Corruption in the Department of Justice, reads like a page-turner Grisham novel. It is available on Amazon and in bookstores, and on her website www.licensedtolie.com. Read more about Explosive Revelations of Corruption in Your Department of Justice

Dear RPT Delegates to 2014 Convention,

In a couple of weeks, we will all gather in Fort Worth for our convention and take care of crafting and approving the 2014 Republican Party of Texas Platform. Each Senatorial District has appointed a temporary member to the Platform Committee. Please be sure you attend your SD caucus meeting at 5:00 PM, Thursday, June 5. That is when the permanent committee members will be elected. I am urging you to elect a person to this committee that will ensure that “The Texas Solution” will remain a part of our platform. A copy of “The Texas Solution” is included. Read more about Carolyn Hodges, Texas Federation of Republican Women, Supports The Texas Solution
