Hurd Recognized by LULAC for Legislative Work

I was honored by the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) at their annual National State of Latino America Summit with the National Legislative Award for my work in Congress on issues affecting Latino Americans and the Hispanic community.

The United States of America is stronger because of the contributions that Latinos have made across our communities and it’s a privilege to represent a majority Latino district. LULAC has been working on behalf of Latinos for over 90 years and it’s an honor to be recognized by a group that has an extensive history of fighting for folks that need help. I look forward to continue fighting for my constituents.

"LULAC is proud to recognize our friend, Representative Will Hurd for his courage in Congress,” said Domingo Garcia, LULAC National President. “He has been a defender of people of color, including Latinos against racial hate baiting, fair application of laws in sanctuary cities and supported our call for a Latino Museum to celebrate our community's contributions to America.  We look forward to continuing to work with Congressman Hurd in his future public service."
