Liberals Flip Out Over Wisconsin

Once again liberal hypocrisy is on full display and in such a beautiful way in Wisconsin. Due to a multi-billion dollar budget deficit, Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker has decided to take on the unions who are burdening his states budget by temporarily cutting pay and limiting the practice of collective bargaining.

It almost amazes me how hypocritical liberals are and how quickly they forget their own words. Remember when only the right was violent and everything terrible in America came from the lips of conservatives? Well, we didn’t forget all of the “Bush = Hitler” signs or fictional movies about President Bush’s assassination, but the left definitely tried to since President Obama was elected. In the end though, it turns out that you can’t ever truly escape your past, and the brave actions of Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker have got the left so upset that they can’t contain their hatred! Not only has the Wisconsin situation unleashed the anger in the left, but it has made the media’s liberal bias even more evident.

While I do not agree with the unions and liberals protesting Governor Walker’s proposed budget, I think it is their right to protest. I just wish they would do so with some respect. After all, this is what a representative democracy is built around; we have a right to vote for our representatives and we have a right to disagree with their actions. The problem here is that for the past two years the left has ironically been all “holier–than–thou” as they watched the power of the Tea Party grow until it culminated in many victories in November. Before November 2010, Democrats not only held the governor’s mansion in Wisconsin, but both legislative chambers. Thankfully that is no longer the case and the left just cannot stand the idea that their policies failed the state of Wisconsin and subsequently failed their party at the polling booth.

However, this is no excuse to act the way they are acting. If you look at the mainstream media’s coverage of the Wisconsin protests and contrast them with the coverage of the Tea Party protests its actually kind of embarrassing for these supposed “news” stations. Tea Partiers are inherently racist because President Obama is black, regardless of what anyone tried to say--that was the mainsteam media’s perception. On the other hand, the protesters in Wisconsin are heroes who are trying to thwart some evil Republican conspiracy to destroy unions so they can force workers to work with little pay or benefits. (Am I right?) Maybe the protesters are just ageist. Maybe those who are protesting Governor Walker’s budget cuts have an inherent prejudice and hatred of my generation. After all, it is the youths of Wisconsin who will have to pay for continued fiscal irresponsibility in Wisconsin.

* Liberals don’t seem to understand sarcasm too well, so this is a disclaimer that I don’t seriously think they hate young people. Babies are another story, though.

Wisconsin tried fiscal irresponsibility for a long time, but in November they decided to give Republicans a chance which is why the state swung in such a big way. It might be tough for unions to finally have someone stand up to them, but they need to at least give the governor a chance. I think the left just wants to have a shouting match, busing people to the Wisconsin capitol to grab headlines and supporting legislators who are abandoning their duties by crying and running off to Illinois. Grow up! You lost--deal with it. Conservatives did! We realized why we lost in 2006 and 2008; it was because we had lost our way and lost the trust of most Americans. So yes, conservatives took to rallying so that they could influence those who were in office to return to principle, but more importantly conservatives did so in order to reevaluate the Republican Party. No one is perfect, but if you’re voted out of power maybe it was because people didn’t like what you said, not because they “weren’t listening.”

But in typical liberal fashion, rather than deal with a loss like an adult they decide to up the ante and tell protesters to “get a little bloody” if need be. Wow, that sounds like they’re “inciting violence.” This time I’m serious. It’s not like a colloquial phrase referencing hunting; this sounds down right radical. That’s the difference. Conservatives use colloquial phrases we can all relate to and liberals just straight up tell you to mess the place up if people stop listening to you. To be honest, there is so much more that can be said about the liberal hypocrisy that is on full display in Wisconsin, but even some on MSNBC are starting to get it. Rather than attempt to tell you all the cases of hypocrisy and bias here I’ll let you see for yourself:

I think whom ever wrote this article, did not hear about Gov. Walker's scam to tear unions apart. Which was caught on audio tape and is been blasted all over the news, including Fox News. I guess it is okay that a GOP can break the law. Actually,  WI had a surplus when Gov. Walker took office and he actually gave took many tax breaks too the big corporations that made a big budget deficit. Its all public record investigate it for yourself.

The Republicans claim to be the party of responsibility, family, ethics, patriotism and
prosperity. All of these claims are lies.

The Republicans have put America's children $10 trillion in the hole - $5 trillion of
this under Bush, whose irresponsible and unneeded tax cuts destroyed fiscal responsibility
achieved painstakingly by Clinton Administration, did not create a single job, and ended their
reign with an economic collapse.

The Republicans have lied aggressively for 30 years claiming that there was no global warming
and aggressively denied reality until it became undeniable, preventing clean-energy solutions
from being developed before the situation became critical.

The Republicans have used lies, fraud and corruption to force on America an unelected and disastrous regime that plundered the treasury, poisoned the planet, ran roughshod over the Constitution, instituted torture, and lied to get America into bloodshed.

They put this horrible burden upon the country as they claim to be its patriots - upon the
children as they claim to practice family values - this vast corruption and fraud as they
claim to be the party of ethics - this extreme irresponsibility as they claim to be the party
of responsibilty - and this economic disaster as they claim to be the party of prosperity and
economic sense.

It seems as if you had done your research you would have seen that things weren't as rosy as you tried to frame them.  When Governor Walker came in less than two months ago Wisconsin was already left with a $17 billion debt, hardly a surplus that Governor Walker could have squandered.  In addition, when the previous budget was being written in 2009 Wisconsin was rated as having one of the top 10 worst budget situations.

Of course I have heard the prank call that was played on Governor Walker, I'm in college, I'm always online.  How could I not have seen it?  It didn't sound to me like he was working with every Republican governor to destroy anything, it just sounds to me like he is doing what he believes is best for his state at a time when they are strapped for cash.  Its called being responsible.
Plus, the point of this post was not to argue over the fiscal situation of Wisconsin, which judging by public records isn't all that great, the point was to illustrate how hypocritical the media is in reporting these two segments of the American populace exercising their freedom to assemble and petition their government.

You claim there is a liberal media bias. Change your perspective and try watching Fox News. Oh wait, you're probably writing this after having watched Fox, and you're going to say that Rupert Murdoch's speakerphone channel is the only one that's got it right. Check out this article below:

Palm trees in Wisconsin? Maybe Republicans and conservative broadcasters need all the public education they can get - now only if they weren't going to slash funding for the teachers who would have taught them basic geography....

As for your disappointment that the pro-union protesters in Wisconsin aren't demonstrate in a peaceful, non-inflammatory manner (you probably got that view from Fox News/your personal selective bias) you should hear what some Tea Party-ers have to say.

"Who will shoot Obama?" Jee, doesn't sound at all violent to me.

True - the state deficit was $17 billion dollars. Still, the guy decided to slap another $100+ billion onto the deficit by giving tax breaks, and then blame it on public unions. I dunno how you can wring your hands and insist that unions are to blame for a debt that you created yourself.

Some people will argue that the tax breaks will help revitalize Wisconsin's economy and business environment. More likely, the money will help keep afloat the paychecks of CEO's and profits of big businesses that could afford to do their part in society.

wow, you don't even have to watch the videos I posted... you can clearly see and tell that the first one is from MSNBC... I had no idea Fox's ratings were so good that they were literally taking over the competition
