House Moves to Defund Obamacare and Planned Parenthood

As the House returns to Washington this week, one of the top priorities for conservative members like me will be to pass a bill defunding both Obamacare and Planned Parenthood.

As I have repeatedly said, taxpayers should not be funding an organization like Planned Parenthood. Those funds should instead go to community health care centers that actually fund health care for women.

Further, I am still fighting Obamacare. Though I doubt the current president will ever see how much this is harming so many hard working Americans, I will not give up. I'll do what I can now, like voting to repeal it as part of the budget reconciliation process, but I am anxiously awaiting a new president who, I hope, will join the House in fixing this mess and putting in place a system that works. Under the Affordable Care Act, middle class families and small businesses are still struggling.
