Friday morning I toured the ICU and Emergency Department at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas. In August the hospital admitted the individual with the first diagnosed case of Ebola in the United States. That experience prompted them to improve their hospital policies and ensure that the entire staff has the capability to deal with an infectious disease - such as Ebola - should another crisis arise in the future. Today, the European Union did an about-face of the worst kind, reversing their designation of Hamas as a terrorist organization. The General Court of the EU found that the original decision to include Hamas as a terrorist organization was made in haste based on news and media reports and not a “concrete examination” of their acts.
