Tuesday, November 5th we will know just how well the liberals have infiltrated Virginia. Ken Cuccinelli, Attorney General of Virginia, has been working hard to surpass the New York Democrat hustler Terry McAuliffe at the polls. McAuliffe is being funded by sources outside Virginia, most notably, George Soros-backed PACs and New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, and has a 10-1 spending advantage over Cuccinelli. Additionally, McAuliffe is supported by Obama and Hillary, who both campaigned for him over this weekend. Native Virginians do not agree with McAuliffe and his ilk, which is why he needs this type of outside financial and political help. Without this help, McAuliffe would not stand a chance. With Veterans Day approaching, we held a hearing in the Oversight and Government Reform Committee with senior officials from the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to examine why the Department wasted millions of taxpayer dollars on conferences, while wounded warriors have waited months or even years to receive the help they deserve and were promised for their service to our nation. For example, the VA held two week-long conferences in Orlando, Florida that cost taxpayers $6.1 MILLION.

As a Federal Court was granting an injunction to block tighter safety and health restrictions for abortion clinics in Texas, one abortion clinic was getting hit with over a dozen health and safety violations discovered by the Texas Department of Health. The injunction was reversed on appeal and
You know a conservative leader is doing the right thing when the liberal media attacks him/her. Well, Texas Congressman Steve Stockman is certainly doing the right thing because he has the liberal media attacking him on a daily basis. The next attack is expected to come from Tim Fleck of the Houston Chronicle. Fleck is a liberal editor who used to work for the Houston Press. Fleck takes his bias up a notch above most liberal media though because Fleck, on top of just writing negative articles about Stockman, has also tried to sue Congressman Stockman in the past and has even been accused of breaking into Stockman's home. Apparently, Fleck is not happy about the most recent press release from Congressman Stockman. (See press release below after Stockman's statement regarding Fleck.)
Not long ago, I was approached by a man and woman from the UK who wanted some training and the chance to shoot guns. They were in the United States on vacation and one of the items on their vacation list was to find a certified instructor and have the once in a lifetime chance to “experience what it’s like to be American for a few hours with the legal right to shoot rifles and guns.” Read more about UK Visits US Gun Passion
Speaking about the importance of the SNAP program:

Since yesterday was Halloween and you still may be in a 'scary' mood, I thought I would share something else that some folks find scary; liberty. Yep, you heard it here. Liberty is scary, to some folks, not me.
I know you've heard about my own political background; not being involved beyond election day by casting a vote and then going home and praying that the person I voted for won. A pretty sad existence, if you ask me. Now, I'm a fully involved voting citizen; building relationships with my representatives and trying my best to educate those around me.
