Don't Be Fooled: Obamacare's Flaw Is In The Conception, Not Just The Execution

These are some things I wrote over four years ago, when the law was still being devised and I hoped would never pass. They discuss some possibilities and principles that apply to where we are: Understanding Health Insurance and Why Profiting Insurance Companies Are Better Than Government.

It may all be so that the healthcare.gov website was poorly designed

Keynes vs Hayek: Round Two (VIDEO)

Issues:

Ever been aimlessly perusing the internet and get sucked into watching YouTube videos? Nah, me neither. Seriously, you're bored out of your mind, surfing the net and you start watching all kinds of crazy cat videos, dumbest stuff on wheels, or world's dumbest criminals. Admit it, we have all done that a time or two. So, how does this relate to TexasGOPVote? Stay with me, I promise it does. Read more about Keynes vs Hayek: Round Two (VIDEO)

AgendaWise Sues Joe Straus and Dewhurst for Denying 1st Amendment Press Rights to Texas Conservatives

Issues:

Agendawise has sued Texas House Speaker Joe Straus and Texas Senate LT Governor David Dewhurst for denying them equal First Amendment press rights. Specifically, the Texas Tribune was allowed server space to broadcast the live feed from the floor of the Texas Legislature’s Senate and House proceedings.

AgendaWise is an online conservative news organization that has asked for, and been denied, the ability to also broadcast the live feed for the Texas Legislature proceedings.

I think I know why moderate Republican Joe Straus does not like the thought of allowing this

Gun Rally TOMORROW at the Alamo

Issues:

Only in Texas.... well, actually I should correct myself to say that rallies like this only happen in Texas. People openly carrying guns happens all over America. Surprisingly, openly carrying modern handguns in Texas is illegal even though many other states have some form of open carry gun rights. It is legal to open carry a rifle in Texas though, and that is what will happen this Saturday at the Alamo in San Antonio, TX.

The rally will be Saturday, October 19th, 2013 starting at 10a.m. at the Alamo. Read more about Gun Rally TOMORROW at the Alamo

Failure of Leadership

I quote: "The fact that we are here today to debate raising Americas debt limit is a sign of leadership failure.

"It is a sign that the U.S. Government cannot pay its own bills. It is a sign that we depend on financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Governments reckless fiscal policy. Money that we have borrowed from the Social Security trust fund, borrowed from China, borrowed from Japan, borrowed from American taxpayers. Read more about Failure of Leadership

TX Judge Rules Beaumont ISD/DOJ Election ILLEGAL – Admin Got Paid to be a Fugitive

Issues:

No surprise here, Beaumont ISD is once again in the news for, well, being corrupt. There are actually several new stories of corruption that I could write about, but I am just going to focus on the two biggest recent stories. First, BISD has had their planned November School Board Election declared illegal because, well, it violates Texas state law. Second, a top BISD Administrator had charges filed and a warrant out against her for blocking a public entrance, and she was given paid suspension while she was running from the law. Texas Patriots PAC Voter's Guide to the Nov. 5 TX Constitutional Amendments Election

Issues:

The Texas Patriots PAC offers the following voting recommendations for the November 5, 2013 propositions:

Proposition 1 - Property tax exemption for spouses of service members killed in action.

RECOMMEND VOTING YES. Texas already grants this exemption to disabled veterans. The same benefit should be extended to widows of US armed service members who are killed in action.

Proposition 2 – Eliminate the State Medical Education Board and State Education Fund.

RECOMMEND VOTING YES. We support limited government. This board and the fund it administered were never implemented and should be eliminated. Read more about Texas Patriots PAC Voter's Guide to the Nov. 5 TX Constitutional Amendments Election

Congressman Neugebauer Votes Against Debt Ceiling Increase

I voted against a deal to suspend the debt limit and provide stopgap government funding. I believe that our current level of debt is dangerous for our economy and a crippling legacy for our children and grandchildren. So I could not vote to suspend the debt limit without securing any reforms to our runaway spending. I was also disappointed that this agreement didn’t do more to protect American families from the high costs of Obamacare.

I’ve made a promise to my constituents in West Texas and the Big Country: I will continue to work on

Exclusive Videos: Literally Cutting Holes In Border Security

Issues:

The U.S./Mexico border is divided into various sectors by the U.S. Border Patrol. I recently toured several of the sectors on assignment for Breitbart News and was given an exclusive tour by the National Border Patrol Council. They revealed thousands of incidents of Mexican nationals literally cutting through our border fences and creatively exploiting other U.S. Border security infrastructure. The first video shows a crew of contractors welding and replacing U.S. border fences that had been repeatedly cut

NDO, Referendum Fails To Bring 61,045 Signatures – Why Did The SA Catholic Church Go ‘Silent’?

Issues:

Pastor Gerald Ripley the Sr Coordinator for the referendum waited for the team captains to deliver their petitions to Abundant Life Church on October 13, Sunday night. Volunteer notaries Beverly Laseau and Pam Farris were ready to assist in notarizing the petitions. Pastor Ripley was hoping to gather enough signatures to be able to put the Non Discrimination Ordinance on the ballot so that the people
