The following press release was sent to me by Texas State Representative Dan Flynn. Rep. Flynn is proposing a plan to fight back against Obama's gun control executive orders. Obama's executive order #16 clarifies to doctors that the Affordable Healthcare Act (Obamacare) does not prohibit them from asking patients if they own guns. Rep. Flynn is proposing a law that would ban doctors in Texas from being able to ask patients irrelevant questions regarding gun ownership.

As the debate of gun control crescendos across America, there are signs of a potentially major development in the murder case of US Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry. Yesterday, the Hidalgo County Texas Sheriff's Department arrested a Mexican national, Gustavo Cruz-Lozano, on charges of making terroristic threats against Sheriff Lupe Treviño on July 25th of last year. My sources said that Cruz-Lozano has told the sheriff's investigators that he was the shooter in the murder of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry.
President Obama released a series of executive actions to reduce gun violence and called on Congress to pass laws restricting gun ownership rights. I am a staunch supporter of the Constitutional right to bear arms.

Many employers across Texas cheat the system everyday by misclassifying workers as independent contractors instead of employees. The result is a loss of tax revenue and unemployment insurance, dodging of child support payments, and lawlessness that leads to wage theft and employee abuses. The Texas Legislature, now in session, is considering legislation to crack down on these unethical employees. One city councilman, from Fort Worth Texas, is not sitting back and waiting on the Texas Legislature. He is pushing for action now. The Vice Presidents committee was appointed in response to the tragedy at Newtown, but very few of his recommendations have anything to do with what happened there.
Guns require a finger to pull the trigger. The sad young man who did that in Newtown was clearly haunted by demons and no gun law could have saved the children in Sandy Hook Elementary from his terror.
Texas has a history of taking a bold stand. Anyone Remember the Alamo? At the Alamo, Texans took a stand knowing they might lose their lives. They could have surrendered or they could have retreated.
