Congressman Neugebauer Votes for Plan to Balance Budget

I released the following statement after the House passed Rep. Paul Ryan’s 2015 budget proposal, the Path to Prosperity. The budget cuts spending by $5.1 trillion over time, and balances in ten years.

Our country can’t go on spending more than we take in. That’s not fair to American families who work hard to balance their own budgets and pay their taxes. We owe it to them to make responsible decisions. Read more about Congressman Neugebauer Votes for Plan to Balance Budget

Senator Cornyn Honors the Civil Rights Act

I issued the following statement honoring the fiftieth anniversary of the Civil Rights Act, which is being celebrated at this week’s Civil Rights Summit at the LBJ Presidential Library in Austin, Texas:

With the signing of the Civil Rights Act nearly 50 years ago, President Johnson brought together Americans of all walks of life to make a solemn, public vow to at long last uphold the work of Abraham Lincoln, Martin Luther King, Hector P. Garcia, Barbara Jordan and the many civil rights leaders who

Who Says The Left is the Party Of Science?

Most recently, Mother Jones produced a study by the Union of Concerned Scientists that if you were a Fox listener, you were misinformed on climate change because we all know that man is responsible for climate change and the world is about to go into overdrive in a heat wave. The problem with this survey is that the latest studies have repudiated much of the alarmist charges about climate change, and it is Mother Jones and the Union of Concerned Scientists who are wrong.

The small, predominantly Christian community of Lumberton, TX is once again about to hit the national scene. The Lumberton Independent School has suspended a transvestite/transgender teacher. There will be a School Board meeting this Thursday night at 7pm where it is expected there will be a large number of outspoken people form both sides of the issue who will speak during the public comment time.  State Board of Education member David Bradley had this to say regarding the upcoming school board decision, “He does not have to be fired as substitutes are not under contract. The district just fails to call him for the next days work.” Furthermore, men who want to dress up as women are not a protected class under the Constitution

Let us begin with Mozilla’s CEO Brendan Eich who contributed 1000 dollars to Campaign Prop 8, a state constitutional ban
