Planned Parenthood Advocate's Obituary

In the October 12, 2015 Life Tributes page of the San Antonio Express News, I found a very thought-provoking obituary. I’m at the age that I skim the page to see if I may know someone; doing this, I have read some very beautiful and loving obituaries. But this day I found an obituary that really struck me. It appears that Phyllis Ann Massengale wrote her own obituary obviously to make sure her message to the public would be precisely what she wanted the viewers to see. This is not to judge her because as a Christian, I believe she is in eternity and none of us know what her thoughts were at the very end of life.

Rather, her obituary tells us that she was an educated person and a very determined woman and stood strong in her beliefs. She made sure the viewers saw her very emphatic statement, “I am NOT gone to meet my maker or anyone else; I am simply dead. Forever.” This statement tells us she was definitely a non-believer. She also made the comment that women’s rights were her main concern and that she “was a card-carrying member of many liberal-leaning organizations from Americans United for the Separation of Church and State...”

What caught my eye was the fact that she listed being “a long-time board member of Planned Parenthood of San Antonio and South Central Texas.” She went on to write, “and a 2001 recipient of their award for Volunteer Excellence.”

We know that Planned Parenthood is the place to have an unborn baby murdered to give the mother relief of her ‘burden’. I have been prolife for as long as I can remember, and until recently from watching the videos from The Center for Medical Progress, I didn’t have a hint that Planned Parenthood harvested baby body parts for profit. At the rallies and protests, we pray for the recovery of the mothers that they repent and find peace in their hearts and for their ‘unborn’ innocent babies who will never witness life.

Now, after reading this very insightful message from Massengale, its time we pray for the Planned Parenthood staff and volunteers. Not believing in a creator simplifies the killing of the unborn. Pray that their hard cold hearts change in knowing that there is a creator.
