Sen. Cruz Introduces Bills to Protect National Security, Support Men and Women in Uniform

On Thursday, I introduced two bills to protect our national security and support our men and women in uniform. First, the Expatriate Terrorist Act (ETA), will prevent Americans who are fighting alongside a terrorist organization overseas from reentering the United States and recognizes such actions as a renunciation of U.S. citizenship. Texas House Panel finds that worker misclassification “compromises free markets” and promotes “lawlessness”

A report from a bipartisan panel of Texas lawmakers says companies that pretend their employees are independent subcontractors are undermining free markets and encouraging illegal immigration, among other serious problems. The practice of worker misclassification happens when an employer intentionally skirts the law by paying workers as independent subcontractors when they meet the legal definition of employees and should be paid as such. A Historic “New Day in Texas”

Issues:

Due to a schedule change, I was able to return from Scotland early enough to attend the Texas inauguration of Lt. Governor Dan Patrick and Governor Greg Abbott in Austin. Time For President to Listen To The American People, Approve Keystone

Issues:

The November Memo and the State of the Union

Issues:

The President addressed the Union Tuesday night, promising more government, more spending, and more taxes.

Obviously the President did not read the November memo from America. The majority of the Union rejected the President's policies in the election of persistent Big Government.

King George III and the British imposed the Stamp Act 250 years ago this year. The colonists decried the new tax. Read more about The November Memo and the State of the Union
