On September 11, 2012, terrorists stormed the American consulate in Benghazi. Four Americans were murdered. 19 months later, their killers still roam free. Today, there are more questions than answers. The American people are still not sure what happened that night and the days following.

Several House Committees launched investigations into the attack, but were stonewalled at every turn.

Envoy Air will need to lay off over 1,100 pilots as it moves through a downsizing adjustment as a result of the merger between US Airways and American Airlines. The new American Airlines Group is reducing the carrier’s routes and equipment as part of the merger. The cutback represents a 47 percent reduction in the number of pilots according to the Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA). The downsizing also calls for the elimination of 59 of the smaller regional jets and the loss of 47 of Envoy’s larger jets due to reassignment. Attending the Republican Party of Texas Convention?

Issues:

I've been lucky enough to attend the last 6 Republican Party of Texas State Conventions and served on the Platform Committee in 2012. This year, I was nominated to represent Senate District 25 on the Rules Committee. The most important thing I have learned from these experiences was that when parliamentary procedure isn’t followed, the results are questioned.

Delegates and alternates, especially those who are appointed to the Temporary Committees and/or elected to a Permanent Committee, should do a little homework and get acquainted

Don’t Settle For The Quick And Easy Answer on Immigration

Texas faces immigration problems that too many Republican voters view solely through the spectrum of catchy phrases and bumper sticker slogans when they think about solutions. That’s understandable – for far too long, those phrases and slogans were the only immigration policy our Party had and the only solutions that our candidates were selling. House Holds Former IRS Official in Contempt

I voted yesterday to hold former IRS official Lois Lerner in contempt of Congress for her refusal to testify regarding the IRS targeting scandal. The House also approved a measure calling on Attorney General Eric Holder to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate current and former IRS officials for the selective targeting of conservative organizations and individuals.

In 2013, the Treasury Department Inspector General (IG) reported IRS officials had targeted conservative individuals

New Emails Show Need for Special Prosecutor to Investigate IRS Targeting

Today, I sent a letter to Attorney General Eric Holder asking that he reconsider appointing a special prosecutor to investigate the illegal targeting program conducted by staff at the Internal Revenue Service in direct communication with the Department of Justice.

I first requested that a special prosecutor be appointed to the case on January 22, 2014. On March 10, 2014, Attorney General Holder declined to do so. Now, in light of credible evidence

It has been 19 months since terrorists stormed the American consulate in Benghazi. Four Americans were murdered. Today, their killers still roam free somewhere in Libya. Why have none of them been apprehended?

SA Reporter BRIAN CHASNOFF takes on WESTON MARTINEZ’S MOM

Issues:

In a ridiculous turn of events…Express News Metro Columnist, Brian Chasnoff is chiding Weston Martinez’ mother, M.J. Smoot, for displaying a ‘meme’ of soiled boots on her facebook page, which in essence was meant to express how she felt about Chasnoff’s article, Candidate trying to ride the mayor into City Hall, published in the Express News on May 1st. MJ of course was only trying to defend her son, Weston, who is running for San Antonio District 9 on the city council. Interesting that Chasnoff, exerted so much energy trying to knock down Martinez’ mom.

For those of you that did not take the time to read the article dated May 3rd, Put on your boots and wade into this, Chasnoff dedicated it to his ‘meme’ created by MJ.

Secret CIA Weapons Depot Linked With Two Texas Locations

Issues:

Is Camp Stanley, an Army weapons depot located southeast of Boerne, Texas (near San Antonio), the secret home of a Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) weapons stash known as the “Midwest Depot”? The Midwest Depot is allegedly where the CIA has stockpiled AK-47s and RPG-7s that have been allegedly spread around by the CIA for decades, including weapons used in the Iran-Contra Scandal during the Reagan Administration. Death, Neglect, Broken Promises at the VA

Today in America veterans are dying — not at the hands of a foreign enemy but through the neglect of the very country they served. Many of them put themselves in harm’s way in foreign lands so we can live peaceful lives back home. They did so secure in the promise that America takes care of her veterans.

Sadly, that promise is being broken. Read more about Death, Neglect, Broken Promises at the VA
