Obama’s henchman, Senator Harry Reid, and Senate Democrats have not passed a budget in four years. The Senate’s obstructionist, do-nothing policy has refused every attempt of the House to make reasonable changes to the Un-Affordable Health Care Act that would be approved by the people. The already tight race to unseat Houston City Controller Ron Green got even tighter today as the Houston Chronicle resoundingly endorsed challenger Bill Frazer to become Houstons next City Controller. It is refreshing to see the Chronicle recognizing this citys need to have a strong fiscal conservative, who also happens to be a CPA, in this office to keep up with the citys many financial challenges.

I voted, along with House Republicans, to make sure that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is fully funded to assist states and communities across the country in the event of an emergency. Texas Senator Wendy Davis of filibuster fame announced that she is running for the Texas Governor’s seat that is presently held by our very pro-life Governor Rick Perry. Imagine that, an abortionist in pro-life Texas wants to be our next governor. Like all the pro abortionists, she never even referred to those eleven hours of standing on the Senate floor to defeat a pro-life bill.

President Obama has been trying to make the government shutdown as visible and painful as possible. He has ordered the World War II veterans memorial to be "closed," preventing the otherwise free and unstaffed memorial from being accessed by thousands of veterans and tourists by cordoning off the area with what are being dubbed "barrycades" and stationing guards, some of whom are threatening WWII veterans with arrest.
