A Florida Man Uses Gun to Save Wife and Baby From Home Invasion by Multiple Intruders

Issues:

GUNS SAVE LIVES.

2.5 million times last year, Americans brandished a firearm in order to defend and preserve life.

In most of those cases, the trigger was never pulled.

The government, federal or state, DOES NOT have the authority to remove or hinder this God-given right to defend life. Read more about A Florida Man Uses Gun to Save Wife and Baby From Home Invasion by Multiple Intruders

With Republicans like these, who needs Democrats?

Since the 2012 election, there has been quite a lot of talk about Harris County moving from Republican to Democrat. But anyone who is paying attention to this legislative session will see that the Republican legislators from Harris County are not particularly conservative on budgetary matters anyway. There has been a 26% increase in this budget over the previous budget. Rather than banking additional tax revenue this legislature has decided to spend more and then take $4 billion out of the rainy day fund. The Attack on Free Speech and the Press

Issues:

Over the past three years, we have seen an assault on free speech and freedom of the press by those in power. Campaign finance laws have always been used less as a restriction on money in politics and more as a restriction of freedom of speech.

Citizens United should be remembered as a landmark case protecting free speech, but it is still reviled by the Left and most Americans have no clue what was truly at stake.

Eddie Bernice Johnson & Donna Edwards' Lunar Legacy Lunacy - Creating a National Park ON THE MOON!

Thank God our Congress has solved all of the massive problems facing this country so that we can now worry about what to do about artifact piracy... ON THE MOON! Yes, it seems scandal-ridden Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson (D-TX) has teamed up with Congresswoman Donna Edwards (D-MD) to write legislation to create a U.S. National Historical Park on sections of the moon.

Making our Housing Markets Work for Homebuyers

Issues:

Did you know that taxpayers guarantee nine out of every ten new mortgages in our country? Look around any new neighborhoods being built nearby. Most likely, only one or two of the mortgages on houses on that block are not guaranteed by the federal government. That’s problematic for a number of reasons. The Zimmerman Case: Thoughts and Analysis

Although I’ve been rather quiet about the George Zimmerman case, I’ve had many opinions throughout the proceedings.

I’ve generally not wanted to talk about it because, overall, it is just a local crime story that’s gotten out of hand. However, I shall talk about it in the aftermath.

I don’t want to re-litigate the trial or go through it in detail, but here are some passing thoughts on it: Read more about The Zimmerman Case: Thoughts and Analysis

Senator Marco Rubio Stresses Importance of Immigration to American Culture and Excellence

Sen. Marco Rubio - Leadership for AmericaMuch has been said about Florida Senator Marco Rubios decision to stand solidly for immigration reform and stronger border security. The man who became an overnight hero with strong conservatives has been labeled a sellout by some because he dared to step forward and actually attempt to solve a problem that has been plaguing our nation for decades. He demonstrated leadership and statesmanship when he stepped forward to say that our borders are a security risk, and they must be closed

The French Revolution and Ours

Issues:

On July 14, 1789, the French Revolution began with the storming of the Bastille and from there, events would end up with the reign of terror, plus a democratic fraternity that ended up devouring many of the original revolutionaries before Napoleon took over. From the time of the Revolution to Waterloo, Europe descended into nearly a quarter of a century of warfare that extended throughout the world. Read more about The French Revolution and Ours

Abortion is Murder, not a Wedge – Why Are Republicans Attacking Pro-Life Republicans for Exposing Wendy and Sarah Davis?

Issues:

This week, fellow blogger Bob Price wrote an article attacking me. Why was I attacked? I was attacked because I stood up for LIFE, and I stood up for the Republican Party Platform on my TexasGOPVote – David Bellow blog. As thousands of Texans rallied in Austin this week to stand up for life, Rep. Sarah Davis was fighting against them. Price wrote an article criticizing me because I dared to expose that Sarah Davis is fighting for abortion and because I also pointed out that the Republican Party of Texas Platform calls on the Party to not give funds to candidates, like Sarah Davis, who are not pro-life.

Abortion is not an insignificant wedge issue. Abortion is the murder of millions of innocent babies, and if Republicans do not
