Glenn Hegar’s New Ad Hits Home – Cut Waste and Inefficiency – Texas Comptroller Race Update

The Glenn Hegar for Texas Comptroller campaign has come out with a new tv ad. The new ad is titled “Our Future.” One of my favorite lines of this new ad is that Hegar chaired a committee to eliminate waste and inefficiency in government, saving taxpayers millions. I did not even know this about Hegar, but I am glad I now do.   Read more »

Gov. Rick Perry: Barry Smitherman is “the Real Deal” – Texas Attorney General Race Update

The race is on for the next Texas Attorney General. Early voting has already begun and it lasts until February 28th. The Texas Republican Primary Election Day is March 4th, 2014.

One Texas Attorney General candidate, Barry Smitherman, stands out above the rest. The Texas Attorney General’s office is one of the largest statewide offices in Texas. As the Chairman of the Texas Railroad Commission, and the former head of Public utilities, Barry Smitherman is the only candidate that has proven he can effectively and efficiently run a large statewide agency.   Read more »

Texas Tribune: Stimulus Fund Allegations Spice Up Texas AG Race

The Texas tribune has reported that one of the businesses that Ken Paxton is an owner of accepted a substantial amount of money from Obama’s stimulus money. The article also explains Dan Branch’s connections to stimulus money. I am not going to comment on the article because it speaks for itself. You can read the entire article here. Below are some of the highlights from the Tribune article:   Read more »

Ken Paxton Backed Down from Challenging Joe Straus, Left Conservatives Hanging

Some people have asked me how I know that Ken Paxton is not the right man to be our next Texas Attorney General. There are many reasons. Do I think Ken Paxton is conservative? Of course I do, but I do not believe he is the best conservative, and I do not believe he is the best leader. Unfortunately, I know for sure that Ken Paxton will back down, even after promising not to back down.   Read more »

Barry Smitherman’s Prosecutor Evaluations Show He Never Backed Down, Was One of Best

The Texas Attorney General is the top lawyer in Texas. He defends the state, our laws, our Constitution, and the people. He also prosecutes those who break the laws. With Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott running for Governor, we have a chance to elect a new Texas Attorney General. We need to elect a Texas Attorney General who stands firm on conservative values and who will also be an effective defender and prosecutor.

We already know that Texas Attorney General candidate Barry Smitherman has the conservative values. I have written many articles about what Smitherman believes.

Glenn Hegar Has the Momentum, Endorsed by Tea Parties and Half of State GOP Officials

Glenn Hegar for Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts seems to have all the momentum in the race right now. The Texas Comptroller is one of the few, statewide elected officials. It is not a glamorous position, but it is a very powerful and important position.

The race for Texas Comptroller will not end on the March 4th, 2014 Republican Primary Election Day. The Comptroller’s race will likely go to a runoff along with the Texas Attorney General, LT Governor, and Railroad Commissioner races.

Glenn Hegar is certainly beginning to stand out among the crowd in his race.

Lumberton, TX Resident had Rifle Confiscated after LEGALLY Open Carrying in Beaumont

A Lumberton, Texas man, Derek Poe, was walking to his Golden Triangle Tactical gun shop in Parkdale Mall in Beaumont, TX. He was legally open carrying his AR-15 rifle across his back with the barrel facing down. He had done this many times before.

On December 28th, 2013, the Beaumont Police confiscated Poe’s rifle and told him that he would have

Republicans Need to Embrace Young, Energetic Leaders

Maybe I am just saying this because I am young, but the Republican Party of Texas needs young, energetic leaders. I truly believe that one of the biggest problems that the Republican Party faces is we are not attracting enough new young leaders. Not only are we missing out on drawing in young voters, but we are also not allowing fresh faces in to help revive the Party. The Texas Republican Party Platform is in favor of term limits and so am I. Many long-time Republicans in office now are good people, but after being in office for so long, it is easy to get complacent and compromise. This is where electing younger, energetic Republicans will benefit the Republican Party.   Read more »

Barry Smitherman is ONLY Candidate endorsed by Both Texas Right to Life & Alliance for Life

On December 20th, 2013, Texas Alliance for Life released their pro-life endorsement of Barry Smitherman for Texas Attorney General. This endorsement means that Barry Smitherman is the only candidate in the Texas Attorney General race to be endorsed by BOTH Texas Right to Life and Texas Alliance for Life.

I previously wrote an article about Barry Smitherman being endorsed by Texas Right to Life.

Barry Smitherman Fought for Religious Rights of Kountze Students with Greg Abbott

As Christmas nears, one thing we are talking about is the Merry Christmas bill. The Merry Christmas bill was passed this year to allow teachers and students to be able to celebrate Christmas in schools without fear of lawsuits. This is a great bill, but it only scratches the surface of stopping the attacks against Christianity in schools. The Texas Attorney General is on the frontlines defending the religious rights of Texans and Texas Students.   Read more »
