Sen. Cornyn Honors Our Nation’s Veterans

Our veterans and their family members have gone to every length to defend our nation and protect their fellow men and women, and nowhere is that level of commitment stronger than here in the great State of Texas. Home to nearly 1.7 million veterans and some of the nation’s largest and most important military bases, the Texas military community is a source of pride for all Texans.

Sadly, events of the past year have shown us that too many of our veterans in Texas and across the country have not been treated with the dignity and care they so rightly deserve. Nothing should be put above the needs

Pete Sessions Opposes Unprecedented Government Regulations on the Internet

I strongly oppose President Obama’s efforts to impose strict and unprecedented regulations on the Internet. The implementation of “net neutrality” by reclassifying the entire broadband network as a public utility would suppress the very innovation that has led to the successful and rapid development of high-speed Internet connectivity that serves the vast majority of Americans. Texas Judicial Races - Strong Conservatives Win

Issues:

On October 18th the Republican Club of Comal County had the distinct pleasure of hosting its 5th Annual Fundraiser with some very special speakers seeking judicial benches. The statewide nominees were Justice Jeff Boyd for Texas Supreme Court Place 7, Judge Bert Richardson Court of Criminal Appeals #3, David Newell Court of Criminal Appeals #9, and Kevin Yeary Court of Criminal Appeals #4. With the exception of now

Breaking Down the Election on WFAA

The way some of the down-ballot races in Texas played out this past week put a fine point on just how powerful a wave the GOP was riding heading into Tuesday’s election.

Not only did Republicans sweep every statewide race, which was expected, but their margin of victory was way higher than even the party’s leadership expected. Right before the vote, Texas Republican Party Chairman Steve Munisteri had said he wouldn’t be surprised to see Attorney General Greg Abbott beat Sen. Wendy Davis

Former President George W. Bush Visits Texas Ebola Healthcare Workers

Issues:

Former President George W. Bush visited Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital to meet with healthcare workers who treated three Ebola patients including two of their own nurses. The former President came to the hospital to help celebrate the end of the 21 day observation period for many of the workers.

“The last five weeks have been a trying time for the city and residents of Dallas and especially the people of Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas,” former President Bush said.

Senator Cornyn to President: Work with GOP on Immigration Reform

Issues:

The American people sent a strong message Tuesday that they want Washington to work together, and I made clear to the President that we should tackle immigration reform together on a step-by-step basis, beginning with border security and respect for the rule of law.

Unfortunately the President's promise to unilaterally go around Congress ignores the message voters sent on Election Day. It is my sincere hope that he will reverse course and work with us – not around us – to secure the border and achieve real reforms to our immigration system. Republicans Win Big

Issues:

Republican Party of Texas - We all know that Republicans won big on Tuesday night and it’s not by accident. The grassroots support from across the state made millions of phone calls and knocked on hundreds of thousands of doors. And while we suspected we were going to win, we didn’t realize it would be by such big margins.

The entire state is now an even deeper shade of red, which means we Texans get to enjoy prosperity and liberty

October Unemployment Report

Issues:

This morning the Department of Labor released the October jobs report. While I am always pleased to hear that some people were able to find employment, this week people across the nation made it very clear they are frustrated with the status quo and upset with the direction of our economy and the slow job growth that has come with it. Americans knows that there is still much more work to be done to ensure that all individuals have the opportunities to find good-paying, full-time jobs. Read more about October Unemployment Report

TEXAS REMAINS RED – Battleground Texas turns Livid!

Issues:

Conservatism is not dead in Texas! How fantastic is it that Texas remained RED in spite of the fact that Battleground Texas worked so hard to defeat the Republicans, to erase our Conservative Values. After twelve years of Governor Rick Perry, Texas remained strong and reelected another Republican, Greg Abbott, who defeated Abortion Wendy Davis statewide with a devastating blow of 59.28% to her weak 38.88%. Abbott said, “Whether you voted for me, against me or didn’t vote at all, I’m going to work every single day to keep Texas the best state in the United States of America.” And no matter how hard Davis tried to hide her abortion agenda she just never got away from it. In fact, Davis did not even win Liberal Bexar County, Abbot 49.74% to her 48.42%. Read more about TEXAS REMAINS RED – Battleground Texas turns Livid!

Hispanic Republicans of Texas Performance Review

Issues:

When Battleground Texas started up, we heard a lot about how the booming Hispanic population in Texas was going to turn this state blue. On election night, Texas Republicans and HRT hit Democrats with the biggest reality check in years!

Thanks to your support, the Hispanic Republicans of Texas PAC recruited and encouraged candidates across the state to run for office and endorsed over 40 candidates for various offices. Last night over 70% of those supported by HRT won, including three candidates in state house districts where over 2/3 of the population is Hispanic.
