If Obama plans to Strike Syria, he must first Ask Congress for the green light

Issues:

Earlier this year, I had the opportunity to visit a Syrian refugee camp while I was overseas in Turkey. This helped me to better understand the civil war raging in Syria. In the midst of the current turmoil, the Administration is outlining its intentions to take military action without Congressional approval. Should the President move forward without Constitutional authority, I will introduce a resolution to immediately cease such actions. I have and will continue to call on the President to request that Congress return to session for votes before direct military intervention. Obama's Attack on 2nd Amendment Continues With New Illegal Executive Orders That Accomplish Nothing

Good Boy Mr President, The Children are much safer nowOnce again, President Barack Obama ignores the Constitution and skirts the legislative process of legally creating laws by issuing two new executive orders. The idiocy of this is neither of the new executive orders relating to firearms will accomplish anything. But they make him look tough. Kind of like lobbing a couple of cruise missiles at Syria without any legal authority. I wonder if the President will trot out more children to use as props for allegedly making them safer, all the while doing nothing to actually address criminals who illegally use or posses guns. Russell Kirk in Syria: Further considering what it means to be a conservative

Issues:

A statesman ought to be prudent as prudence is the fourth conservative principle provided by Russell Kirk. This is an area in which Edmund Burke and Plato agree as well; both place prudence as the first among the equal virtues to be possessed by a statesman. Prudence is simply the recognition of the complexity of problems and the need to take a measured assessment before acting. This principle may seem foreign to our world of instant everything, but it is a virtue worth reclaiming. Read more about Russell Kirk in Syria: Further considering what it means to be a conservative

NC Police Threaten to Arrest Church Volunteers for Feeding the Homeless - Kubosh Fighting this Insanity in Houston

NC Police Feeding OrdinanceThroughout the history of Christianity, churches have been involved in helping people who are down on their luck or in a bad situation. Often this help is provided in the form of food and shelter. Apparently local governments are somehow threatened by this philanthropy because it means people are not dependent on the government. Despite the fact that philanthropy and charity are much more efficient and cost effective methods of delivery of services to the needy, local governments are taking action to stop this.
