Senator Campbell SD25 Triumphs Over Opponents Chan And Novak

Issues:

Senator Donna Campbell, the Champion of SD25, has been under constant attack from her detractors since her bid for reelection. It isn’t just the Left that is attacking her but some embittered members of the Right. The biggest attacks are coming from Terri Hall of TURF, Texans Uniting for Reform and Freedom, the pro aborts, and of course her opponents in this race, Republicans Elisa Chan and Mike Novak, both from San Antonio.

Needless to say I am extremely disappointed with Libertarian Hall for using this race to discredit a very well respected and loved Senator to serve her toll road agenda. Just to clarify this statement, Senator Campbell did not vote to have toll roads in Bexar County.

Let’s stand for life; It’s the right and just thing to do

Issues:

Last week, amid frigid temperatures, hundreds of thousands of Americans marched up our nation’s Capital in support of the unborn and the value of life.

Now it's our turn.

Our turn to stand for life by supporting H.R. 7, the No Taxpayer Funds for Abortion Act. This bill would ban the use of taxpayer dollars to fund abortions once and for all. Read more about Let’s stand for life; It’s the right and just thing to do

Tom Woods on Handling a New York Times Reporter

Issues:

On my podcast the other day I took a few minutes to discuss the New York Times, the recent hit piece on Ron/Rand and the Mises Institute, and how to handle a New York Times reporter if you choose to let one interview you. Here’s that excerpt from the show.

Congressman Poe Statement On Reports Of Russia's Violation Of Nuclear Arms Treaty

Today, as Chairman of the Terrorism, Nonproliferation, and Trade Subcommittee on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, I joined my colleagues Rep. Mike Rogers and Rep. Joe Heck in sending a letter to the Administration requesting a classified briefing on the United States’ response to Russia’s material breach and circumvention of the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty.

Now, when we are in the midst of negotiations with Iran on their nuclear weapons program, is not the time for the United States

Education Reforms Emerge As a Point of Contention in Texas Political Contests

In Texas political races all over the state, candidates are being grilled about what they think of sweeping education reforms passed by the legislature last year. While there is pretty much universal agreement that the big reductions in standardized testing were a positive step, there is controversy about changes to graduation requirements that create multiple paths to a high school diploma. The idea, essentially, is that not all kids will go to college so the state will now promote both college readiness as well as career readiness. Government’s War on Women (Video)

Progressive women in politics, Hollywood, and TV ads arrogantly declare “It’s MY body!” and “The Right is waging a War on Women!” Feminists would have young ladies believe that there is a “war on women” from the Right, and it involves their bodies. Read more about Government’s War on Women (Video)

Polls in Railroad Commission Race Show Ryan Sitton Lead Growing, Majority Still Undecided

Issues:

In a poll released today regarding the race for Texas Railroad Commission, Ryan Sitton's campaign gained 4.25% from last week's poll. This week's poll shows Sitton at 17%. This week's poll of Republican Primary voters was conducted by Mike Baselice founder of the highly regarded firm Baselice & Associates.

Former State Rep. Wayne Christian and SREC Committeewoman Becky Berger are in a close race for second with 13% and 12%, respectively while Malachi Boyuls trails heavily at 4%.

As is usual, in the race for Texas Railroad Commission, a full 56% of Republican Primary voters polled are still undecided, but that percentage is down nearly 10% from last week. Read more about Polls in Railroad Commission Race Show Ryan Sitton Lead Growing, Majority Still Undecided

Senator Cornyn Calls for Reforms to Improve Military Voting

I testified yesterday before the Senate Rules Committee on the SENTRI Act, on my bill to improve military voting. The SENTRI Act seeks to end the disenfranchisement of our military voters and their families by streamlining the process and ensuring that errors or delays in ballot distribution can be corrected in time for service members and civilians living overseas to vote. President Obama Betrays Hispanics Once Again - Only Paying Lip Service to Immigration Reform

President Barack Obama promised Hispanics that immigration reform would be a top priority if he were elected president in 2008. He was elected president, and then he did nothing except ramp up deportations. Even in 2009, when he could have passed anything he wanted without a single Republican vote, he did nothing. Then in 2012, after being challenged on his failure to act in his first term, he once again promised this would be a top priority in his second term in office.
