It was recently a constituent work period, so I was able to spend the last two weeks traveling across the district and meeting with friends, neighbors, and different groups. I also held two town hall meetings, one in Victoria, and the other in Wharton. To be a Representative you need to talk with the people you represent. That’s why I host these conversational meetings.
The Iron Lady: A hard nickname to bear, but, as the Bible says in Proverbs 27:17, “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” Young people need people to inspire them and sharpen them, as Margaret Thatcher did to me.
In May of 1979 in my birth country of Mexico, as a young articulated teenager, nearing the end of the 9th grade, and interested in learning how to debate, my teacher told me: “Adryana, a woman named Margaret Thatcher just became the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. You could learn very much about debating skills from her.” I remember going home, not being able to wait to sit in front of our color Sony Trinitron TV and watch Televisa “24 Horas with Jacobo Zabludovsky”. I still remember listening to Zabludovsky giving the news again, and I saw, for the first time, the face of that woman that my teacher had talked about.
Two activists, Lianne Russell and Tanya A. Robertson, walked into the Harris County Elections Division (Houston, TX) last week and were given ACTUAL ballots when they only asked for Mail In Ballot Applications. They were given these ballots without even being asked to show a photo ID or proof of identity!
It gets worse, the hosting entity (Clear Creek ISD) is the School District that will benefit from their own election. They handle their own ballots, count their ballots, and police their election.
A simple mistake? Even if it was, it still goes to show the importance of having measures in place to prevent voter fraud and to protect ballot integrity.
Formidable in every respect, Margaret Thatcher was a steadfast defender of liberty, a fierce advocate of freedom, and a great friend to the United States. She never hesitated to remind Americans of our own obligations to the cause of freedom and the need for political courage to do what is right in the face of overwhelming adversity. Today, Americans and all freedom-loving people around the world mourn her passing. We will remember Lady Thatcher not only as the first female Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, but as a transformative figure who revitalized her country and stared down tyranny. She was a loving mother, a devoted wife, and a supporter of liberty. May she rest in peace, and may we honor her memory through an unwavering commitment to freedom and individualism. This robber was part of a group of men who had gone on a crime spree over the past 2 weeks in Beaumont's West End and now in Lumberton. Around 3AM yesterday morning, this group of armed robbers sexually assaulted and robbed at gun point a woman in Lumberton. After the robbery and sexual assault (at the corner of Raider Lane and Village Creek Parkway near the middle and primary schools), the group of 3 black males from Beaumont tried to attack another woman

Alongside former U.S. President Ronald Reagan, Thatcher battled against communism and saw the Berlin Wall get torn down in 1989.
