Tom Pauken Announces Bid for Texas Governor

Issues:

Dallas, Texas – Tom Pauken filed with the Texas Ethics Commission to run for Texas Governor in the 2014 Republican Primary. Pauken added, “As my former boss Ronald Reagan liked to say, ‘they called it the Reagan Revolution…. For me it always seemed more like a rediscovery of our values and common sense.’ We need that kind of spirit these days.”

A native Texan, Tom Pauken enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1967 and served as a military intelligence

Tell Sen. Williams to Close the Transportation Funding Gap!

Everybody remembers the "fiscal cliff" situation at the federal level not long ago. In the debates, Republicans wanted to cut spending, while Democrats wanted higher revenues (taxes) in order to maintain (and even increase) spending. Why We Need Conservatives

Issues:

The government is rapidly making policy changes that deal with marriage, guns, the military, immigration and nearly every other facet of our public and private lives. These changes are taking place rapidly because Republicans seem to be giving into the demands of Democrats with recent speeches by Eric Cantor and other Republicans whose positions on immigration and same sex marriage have quickly “evolved” over the past few months. These developments illuminate the need for conservatism and its role in balancing the liberal desire for rapid change.

Change in and of itself is not always a bad thing. The problem is not with change necessarily but with the nature and rapidity of the change.

Polygamy in America

Issues:

Polygamy is the slippery slope of what will be allowed after we finish debating same-sex marriage. Jonathan Turley, a constitutional legal scholar, has already set the groundwork for the legalization of polygamy. Turley contends, “For polygamists, it is simply a matter of unequal treatment under the law…Individuals have a recognized constitutional right to engage in any form of consensual sexual relationship with any number of partners. Thus, a person can live with multiple partners and even sire children from different partners so long as they do not marry. However, when that same person accepts a legal commitment for those partners 'as a spouse,' we jail them.”

Turley goes beyond equal treatment under the law as he adds,

DNC says, “We’re broke!”

Issues:

Not only is Obama bankrupting America, he’s bankrupting the DNC. According to Democratic National Committee (DNC) Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.), Democrats are “in the red” because they spent more than “everything we had” to get Barack Obama and others elected last November. To fraudulently re-elect Barack Obama took all they had and then some more.

So in an e-mail to supporters, the DNC chair says: Read more about DNC says, “We’re broke!”
