Protecting Your Identity Online

Last week was National Consumer Protection Week, and it’s an important reminder to get informed about how to avoid scams, maximize your online security, and protect your identity. Social media and cell phones make it easier than ever before for thieves to take advantage of you, so this issue is becoming more important every day. In fact, the U.S. Bureau of Justice Statistics estimates that

This Handgun Instructor’s Certification Should Be PERMANENTLY Revoked

Issues:

We do not need instructors that are more of a danger to concealed carry students than the criminals they are training to defend themselves against.

Ohio firearms instructor Terry Dunlap has had TWO negligent discharges where he accidentally shot people in his presence. The most recent occurred during the concealed handgun class he was teaching. He shot Michael Piemonte, 27, of Pataskala, while he was demonstrating a .38-caliber handgun. The bullet hit Piemonte’s right arm. The shooting occurred on Aug. 10 toward the end of a 12-hour day of training in gun handling and safety. Read more about This Handgun Instructor’s Certification Should Be PERMANENTLY Revoked

FIRST Act Prioritizes Science Investments to Keep America First

As Chairman of the Science, Space, and Technology Committee, I introduced the Frontiers in Innovation, Research, Science, and Technology (FIRST) Act (H.R. 4186). The bill reauthorizes and streamlines federal investments at the National Science Foundation (NSF) and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) by funding research and development (R&D) to address national needs. The bill highlights manufacturing competitiveness as the primary role of NIST’s Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) while providing greater flexibility to MEP centers. It also sets priorities

To Respond To Russian Aggression, Sell U.S. Natural Gas To Ukraine

Issues:

Vladimir Putin invaded Georgia. Now, the Russian bear is after Ukraine.

Ukraine is almost totally dependent on Russia for energy. Russian imperialism has proven that it is willing to use gas as a political and economic weapon to intimidate its neighbors. Twice it turned off the fuel switch in Ukraine, and I was even in Ukraine the last time Putin turned off the gas during winter. It was cold.

Many other European nations are also at the mercy of the Kremlin when it comes to energy. We can help European countries who depend on imperialist Russia for energy by selling them natural gas from America.

Class Act: Hilderbran Concedes To Hegar In Texas Comptroller Race

Issues:

Two days after Texas Senator Glenn Hegar came within 200 votes of an outright victory in the Republican Primary race for Texas Comptroller, potential runoff candidate State Rep. Harvey Hilderbran conceded from the race.

In a statement obtained by Breitbart Texas, Hilderbran announced he had contacted Sen. Hegar and endorsed him in the November General Election. Read more about Class Act: Hilderbran Concedes To Hegar In Texas Comptroller Race

Legislative Update from Congressman Pete Sessions

The House continued our work to pass common-sense bills this week to help provide relief to the American people from the failed policies of the Obama Administration. On Wednesday, we approved H.R. 4118, the Suspending the Individual Mandate Penalty Law Equals Fairness Act, which delays ObamaCare’s individual mandate. Since ObamaCare was enacted in 2010, the Administration has delayed or modified parts of the law more than 20 times through unilateral executive. Although the employer mandate has been delayed twice due to pressure from businesses and unions seeking reprieve from the law’s onerous costs,

The DoD Should Look at Every Penny Before Cutting a Soldier

On Thursday, I spoke at the National Security Action Conference against the Department of Defense’s recent budget decisions, Putin’s aggression in Ukraine, President Maduro’s oppression of Venezuelans’ freedoms, and a nuclear-armed Iran.

Everyone would agree that there is waste, fraud, and abuse at the Pentagon, like any large bureaucracy…Yesterday I had the opportunity to question Secretary Hagel.

Brave Armed Connecticut Citizens: ” We Will NOT Comply”

It has been a almost year since a Navy Veteran and Firefighter, John Cinque stood before Connecticuts anti gun politicians and bravely proclaimed he would NOT COMPLY with their new unconstitutional laws.

In this video, the politicians brushed off the “unconstitutional” accusations with a response of “we are doing something… thats all people want and now that we have done something, the pressure will go away.” Read more about Brave Armed Connecticut Citizens: ” We Will NOT Comply”
