Texas Primary Election Wrap-Up

Issues:

Here is a message of “Hope” to my fellow Republicans who also lost their primary race on Tuesday.

To all of my fellow Republican candidates who came up short on Election night, please let me add my words of encouragement to those that already have been given to you. I know that many people have already provided many sound words of advice including Scriptures from the Bible to brighten your outlook. Read more about Texas Primary Election Wrap-Up

Stop EPA Attack on Affordable Electricity

Economic growth depends on job creators, not federal regulators. We need to increase access to affordable energy, not take energy options off the table. By requiring carbon capture and storage (CCS) technology that doesn’t even exist, the EPA’s new power plant proposal effectively bans new coal power. There is no coal power plant anywhere in the world that can meet the EPA’s radical proposal.

What’s equally troubling is that the EPA is planning to require this same, unproven technology for new natural gas power. This amendment stops the EPA’s attack on natural gas. It prevents the EPA from using make-believe technologies when setting standards. Only in Washington can you call something ‘adequately demonstrated’ that doesn’t even exist.

Pete Sessions Statement on February Jobs Report

Issues:

Today I released the following statement regarding the Department of Labor’s February jobs report:

Today’s jobs report is yet another reminder of how many Americans are still struggling to find a job. While it is good news that some people have found work, Americans deserve solutions that allow for consistent and dynamic job growth across the economy.

The Significance of the Houston Rodeo

Issues:

It's no secret that March is the month for Texas. Starting with the Texas Declaration of Independence on March 2, the fall of the defenders of the Alamo on March 6, and one of my personal favorite times of the year: the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo--the world's largest rodeo. All in the same week, Houston saddles up to reflect on Texas history and partake in the Houston Livestock Show, where millions of people flock to from all over the world for this one-of-a-kind Texas tradition. Detroit’s nation of takers! (video)

This Detroit squatter story is unbelievable on so many levels: home invaders had the complete audacity to blame a home owner for leaving her house? What?

The Fox News reporter keeps it “real,” including her lingo.

But what is really crazy is what the neighbors had to say about people using somebody’s house — their words and attitude are symbolic of the Obama Nation, and Liberalism in general. Read more about Detroit’s nation of takers! (video)

MSNBC Attacks Greg Abbott: "It’s hard to turn a guy in a wheelchair into a villain"

Issues:

In a shocking display of cruelty, MSNBC’s Zachary Roth attacked Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott in an article under the headline: "No One Pushes Greg Abbott Around." Abbott, who is in a wheelchair, is the Republican gubernatorial candidate running against Wendy Davis.

MSNBC’s Roth goes on to write, “Put simpler: It’s hard to turn a guy in a wheelchair into a villain—no matter his record.” Read more about MSNBC Attacks Greg Abbott: "It’s hard to turn a guy in a wheelchair into a villain"
