Congressman Pete Sessions Visits General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems facility

Issues:

Last week, I visited the General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems facility in Garland. While I was there I met with the General Manager and learned about the products that General Dynamics provides the U.S. military for all levels of strategic and tactical operations. They shared with me their concerns regarding regulations that strain their business and hinder them from being able to plan their finances for the future.

Businesses need laws that give them the certainty they need to grow their businesses, which is why I proudly support legislation that will permanently extend bonus depreciation to ensure that American companies can more easily plan for the future. I will continue to support these common sense solutions to ensure that businesses like General Dynamics will continue to thrive, create jobs, and serve as an integral part of the North Texas economy. Time for a Culberson Birthday Bash, No Time for a Town Hall During August Recess

Happy August recess, Congress! You know it's that time of year again, Congress is on a 'break' from work, that time of year when they finally have a chance to spend time with their constituents and discuss their voting record. Wait, what? What that should read is that Congress will be coming home to fill their coffers with more campaign donations by doling out more empty promises.

That is sadly the case more often than not, and it is the case for my Congressman, John Culberson. If you've been reading any of my posts over the past few years, you know I'm not shy when it comes to sharing Congressman Culberson's voting record, since I have done so several times. Now, what has me most upset is so far I have yet to hear of a town hall meeting to be scheduled for his constituents. What I did get was an invite to a birthday party...wait for it...for HIM.

With Only Months Until The Election: Why TCR Is Optimistic And Why We Still Have Concerns

Issues:

For conservatives in 2014 it is the best of times, but potentially it could be a hugely disappointing time.

First, the reasons for optimism:

  1. Nationalization of the election at this point is a huge plus for conservatives. President Obama's approval rating continues to decline and is now at a 53% disapproval and currently is a drag on Democrats nationally.

Obama IS creating jobs…for TERRORISTS

If you are a mechanic, why not leave the oppression of America and head for sunny sandy Iraq, where you can work on the latest in military hardware, left when Obama abandoned
