More Gun Control Foolishness from Illinois Senator Dick Durbin

Issues:

Liberal Fool Dick DurbinAbout two weeks ago I received an email from Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL) where he said some really foolish things about gun control, so I posted a reply to his message on TexasGOPVote.com. Yesterday I received another message from the Senator expressing more foolishness that I though you should know about. For some reason, Durbin seems to think that background checks will stop criminals from obtaining guns.

The last time we were in Washington, DC in the winter time it was 2009. We usually don't go to DC in the winter because it’s too cold for us Texans. But this year was a little different as we had planned on going to the Black Tie and Boots Texas Ball to celebrate Mitt Romney’s win.

Pete Sessions Statement on January Jobs Report

Issues:

Texans deserve better than a government that accepts chronic high unemployment, and that is why I will continue to demand that Congress address our record deficits and unsustainable debt to provide certainty in the marketplace.  Read more about Pete Sessions Statement on January Jobs Report

Issues:

Lt. Colonel William Barrett TravisAs Commissioner of the Texas General Land Office, Jerry Patterson is now responsible for oversight of one of the most distinctive landmarks in American history - The Alamo. Mexicans Are Inferior According to FAIR and CIS

It is difficult to fathom why in 2013 some faux conservative researchers at the Center for Immigration studies (CIS) still make use of eugenic fallacies to paint Mexican immigrants as genetically inferior. Perhaps it is because in theory, we manage to work out complicated problems without much effort. Yet in practice, the solving of a problem (immigration in this case) is more complicated than what theory

Moral Disarmament in Our Schools

Issues:

It is impossible to make any logical sense of the recent events at Sandy Hook. The bitter loss of those children cut into our national psyche, and as a consequence, we now see proposals to defend our children in school from random violence.

Last week, State Senators Tommy Williams and John Whitmire, and Representative Dan Huberty announced their intention to

Cornyn Op-Ed: The Case Against Hagel

Issues:

Whether or not Chuck Hagel is confirmed as our next defense secretary, his nomination has already done serious damage to U.S. credibility on Iran, thereby emboldening the most dangerous regime in the Middle East. To limit the damage, President Obama should choose someone else to lead the Pentagon. Read more about Cornyn Op-Ed: The Case Against Hagel
