Rhetorically, anyway. Here’s a funny 13-minute condensation of a talk I gave not long ago on how I got into this whole business, and on what we need to do to win. Read more about I Used to Fight With Commies

GM Transfers American Taxpayer $559 Million to bailout a Soccer Team

Disgusting. In order to put the Chevrolet logo on the front of the red jerseys of the English soccer team, Manchester United, General Motors will pay over half a BiLLION dollars. Keep in mind that GM still owes American taxpayers $42 Billions dollars. Manchester United fans have already pledged to boycott any sponsor of their team so this has to be one the stupidest ways of wasting American taxpayer dollars in history. Manchester United is reported to be in debt for $1.6 billion dollars.

We are watching a Democratic political machine utterly disrespect the people's money.

A Call For Unity

Republican Party of Texas (RPT) Chairman Steve Munisteri issued the following statement to Texas Republicans:

This past Tuesday, the Republican Party of Texas experienced the most spirited runoff that I have seen in my 40 years of involvement with the party. The turnout was phenomenal, with over 1.1 million Republican voters casting their ballots in this election. This is nearly twice as many voters as who voted in the March 2006 Primary. The voter turnout is especially impressive when you consider that the runoff was held on July 31st, and in the past Texas has had April runoffs. Read more about A Call For Unity

Elizabeth Warren Loves China Ad, Really?

What is it with the left and their admiration for China? Elizabeth Warren's most recent ad claims we should be more like China since they build a lot of roads. This is the same Elizabeth Warren whose claim of being part Native America got her a minority status at Harvard, even with her blonde hair and blue eyes, and who influenced Obama famous “You really didn’t build that” speech. I will give Warren credit, she has no problem in claiming her roots as a true lefty, and Massachusetts is one of the few states where "let be like China" might actually sell. The ad should give one pause on the direction of where the Democratic Party is headed. Read more about Elizabeth Warren Loves China Ad, Really?

Tax the Hollywood 1%

Issues:

In the early 1950’s, the motion picture industry suffered from the effects of an excise tax passed during World War II. Interesting enough, the film industry produced a film calling for the tax repeal on the assumption that the tax hurt their industry bottom line and cost jobs. The film featured industry leaders to those who worked in the theaters, including the ticket collectors talking about how the tax hurt them. The message to the public was that this tax reduced tax revenues, cost jobs and if repealed, would lead not only to increase government revenues but more economic growth.
